Bay City News Service The city of San Jose has agreed to pay the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency $245,000 for costs associated with a 2003 cleanup of asbestos-contaminated soil at the Environmental Education Center, a popular school field trip destination, in San Jose's Alviso district, the EPA announced today. The center is located on the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge next to wetlands along the San Francisco Bay and the New Chicago Marsh.
